All 3 Majors Advanced Today; The Dow Gained 195 Points As Investors Reacted to FOMC Minutes

The 3 major indices advanced today, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) gaining a healthy 195 points in response to the release of minutes from the March 28, 2006 Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) monetary policy meeting. 1,842,921,230 shares were traded @ The New York Stock ExchangeĀ® today.
