All 3 Majors Gained, With A New, All-Time High for The Dow

NYMEX crude oil for future delivery fell below the $59 mark today; the sharp decline in crude prices helped all 3 major indices to advance, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closing at a new, all-time record high of 11,727.34. The price on New York Spot Gold fell by more than $20. 1,702,608,750 shares were traded @ The New York Stock Exchange®.


Shares of DJIA component Boeing (BA) gained $1.81 (+2.26%) to close @ $81.78 on news that delivery of the Airbus A380 Superjumbo will be delayed another year.

Shares of DJIA component Wal-Mart (WMT) gained $1.02 (+2.11%) to close @ $49.46.

Shares of DJIA component Exxon-Mobil (XOM) lost $1.59 (-2.37%) to close @ $65.41.


Shares of WESCO International Inc. (WCC) added $4.85 (+8.52%) to close @ $61.76.


Shares of Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. (ACOR) added $2.80 (+32.18%) to close @ $11.50.


Shares of Skyworks Solutions Inc. (SWKS) added $1.79 (+35.38%) to close @ $6.85.


Shares of Quest Diagnostics Inc. (DGX) lost $10.90 (-17.90%) to close @ $50.00.


Shares of Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. (DO) lost $4.61 (-6.73%) to close @ $63.90.


Shares of Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM) lost $2.94 (-9.35%) to close @ $28.52.
