The 3 Majors Closed Lower Today On Concerns About Inflation and Interest Rates

The 3 major indices closed lower today despite the fact that crude for future delivery dipped below the $68 mark: Unit Labor Costs climbed at a higher-than-expected rate in the second-quarter, which led many investors to worry that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) may raise interest rates before the year is out. 1,435,295,920 shares were traded @ The New York Stock Exchange®.
