Falling Crude Oil Prices Helped The 3 Major Indices to Gain Some Ground Today

The 3 major indexes gained some ground today as crude for future delivery fell below the $69 mark; New York Spot Gold added $14.00 today. 1,340,512,610 shares were traded @ The New York Stock Exchange®.


Shares of Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) component Caterpillar (CAT) gained $2.41 (+3.58%) to close @ $69.68.

Shares of DJIA component Altria (MO) lost $1.18 (-1.41%) to close @ $82.63.


Shares of Chevron Corporation (CVX) added $1.51 (+2.33%) to close @ $66.34 on news of a successful test of large oil field in the Gulf of Mexico.
