U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) "final" (third estimate) report for the second quarter of 2018 was released this morning by the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA):

Profits of domestic nonfinancial corporations increased $53.0 billion, compared with an increase of $32.3 billion. Rest-of-the-world profits decreased $4.5 billion, in contrast to an increase of $3.7 billion. In the second quarter, receipts increased $0.5 billion, and payments increased $5.0 billion..."
